Hobbies and Interests ... poetry, art, philosophy, yoga, hiking, crafts, travel, reading books and tarot cards and cooking - I am vegetarian and love to try food and recipes from all over the world. I love sitting by the water and passing the time in the summer.

In my own city and also when I travel, I love to walk around and discover little neighbourhoods and maybe stop for a coffee or tea somewhere pretty. I always enjoy that more than a big attraction but I do visit those too.

I am curious about everything and love to talk to strangers. If someone asks me directions in my home town, I am happy! If they ask me directions when I am traveling, I am especially thrilled - sometimes I can even answer if I know the city a little better than them. I like a simple life with small pleasure.

I am retired and these days I volunteer at an animal shelter and love to talk to the cats. I am also taking yoga teacher training and hope to work with seniors or people with mobility issues when I finish the program. I love the idea of connecting with others in our small world.

Edit - after a month on postcrossing I'd like to add that while I appreciate every card, I am less interested in free ad type cards, seasonal greetings. I always love to read the messages - it feels really amazing to connect with others.
