Hello! My name is Crystal.
I learned about Postcrossings from a friend and decided I had to do it. My interest is to connect with people from all over the world which is why I find this site awesome! This also means that I'm not on here just to collect a postcard; I'm genuinely interested in you and your culture. With that said, I'll be happy to receive any postcard you are excited to send to me.
A little about me:
I'm in school to become a Paramedic. Although it's a small dream, I've always wanted to be a medic. I also have another dream of owning my own bakery someday, hopefully in the next 5 years.
I live in California, but I was born and raised in Arizona.
I love to write stories and poems and all my friends say I'm really good at it; they're always telling me I should write a book!
I enjoy learning new languages and new instruments. I learned Korean and American Sign Language, but I need to brush up on them and become better.
I used to play the Cello; I played from 3rd grade to senior year of high school with a one year break to play the viola, but I love the cello more. Currently, I'm trying to learn the violin and guitar.
I love dogs and cats, but frogs are my favorite animal. Carnations are my favorite flower. And soft yellow is my favorite color.
I really love to read. I don't have a favorite genre; I like them all! But I think have to say that "The Little Match Girl" and all various stories of "Beauty and the Beast" are my favorite tales.
I love jazz, blues, and country music. Peggy Lee, The Rat Pack, and all the like, are my favorite musical artists. My favorite piece of music is Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-Sharp Minor "Moonlight." It's deeply moving. And haunting. You can get lost in it.
"Starry Night Over the Rhone" by Van Gogh is my favorite painting, and Norman Rockwell is my favorite artist.
Steam engines warm my heart, but I'm in love with all trains in general. There is something compelling and romantic about them.
That's just a little about me; I look forward to learning about you.
I'm a very open and non-judgmental person who is capable of understanding all walks of life. With that said, you're welcome to open up and write about anything that makes you smile or concerned; I will receive your message with open arms.
I am open to direct swapping, so here is my mailing address. Feel free to mail me, no need to ask; just be sure to include your return mailing address in the letter or on the postcard:
