About Kabouter...

Hello all, I am Kabouter the forest gnome.

Greetings from the damp (gnome-filled) forests of the Oregon Coast (or sometimes the Yakima Valley in the desert of central Washington state). I am a very old soul and I love to learn about all types of people and their cultures.

********* PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE write a saying or quote that you love, a pearl of wisdom you want to pass on, something commonly said in your family, or a phrase that is unique to where you live.*********

I am trying to collect sayings from all corners of the world. If it doesn't translate into English very well, please try to explain what it means. I have received some great sayings from all over the world and would be so excited to see more! I love a postcard filled with words!!!
Two of my recent favorite sayings for when things seem difficult are:
- Remember that things will not be like this forever, but they are for right now.
- Everything will be all right in the end and if it's not all right, then it's not yet the end.

I am excited to receive any postcard that someone is generous enough to send me. Most of all, I would love postcards that show something important about your area of the world, your culture, and/or your traditions:
-Local crafts, hobbies, or jobs
-National clothing, products, or markets
-Traditional celebrations, foods, or practices
-Local traditions, legends, and myths
-Festivals, celebrations, and dances of your culture
-Crop farming/native plant gathering of your area
-Pictures of what your area is known for
-Anything that is unusual or funny and that represents your country or culture!
-Handmade cards are appreciated too!

This list is just supposed to help you pick a card, please do not feel bad if you don't have anything on this list. Just choose something you like about your home.

Please include the date on the card.
If you have a nice stamp, I would much appreciate seeing it.

Thank you in advance and cheers!

P.S. If I have not received your card after a long wait, let me know!
