Hello there! My name is Valentina.
I live in Minsk, but I often refer to myself as a world citizen. And since I don't believe in borders, I decided to join this wonderful project to get in touch with my "global" neighbours.
The things I'm really passionate about are travelling (exploring the diversity of cultural and ethnic bases of societies in different countries) and fine and applied arts as means of expressing cultural identity and history of a particular locality.

I take great pleasure in painting and handmade activity (felt and decorating), which is, at the moment, my main hobby. I’m also interested in medicine and biology, any science, actually, since I fervently believe that thorough knowledge of global issues is not possible without studying the human and the world as interacting systems.
I also love animals. The purity and integrity in their eyes is worth more than many human words, deeds and promises. Therefore it's always a great pleasure to take care of them.
On balance, I'd be more than happy to get anything on:
- local lore, anthropology or any other science
- rare species of your country
- art (paintings, vintage pics and old-fashioned postcards)
- landscapes
On the other hand, such things as anime, modern photographs of buildings and quotes\ word cards bring a tear to my eye. Don't make me cry, I'm begging you :D
