About Laurel...

IF YOU HAVE SENT ME A POSTCARD AND I DID NOT REGISTER IT, PLEASE MESSAGE ME AND LET ME KNOW! I'm a crazy, messy person and I may have simply forgotten, and I apologize!

***I am ALWAYS happy to become online or real-life penpals with anyone I exchange cards with - if you want to keep writing, please, let me know! :)***

ALSO - My birthday is mid-November, and I'd be thrilled to get birthday cards. :)

I'm a 31-year-old photographer and substitute teacher in Orlando, Florida. I have a degree from the University of Florida in archaeology and religion. I've been married since February 7, 2009... no kids yet, but I have a very spoiled fluffy black kitty named Loki who gets more attention than most children.

I don't really have a huge preference for postcards... I love being surprised and not knowing what I'm going to pull out of my mailbox! But if you have a large collection to choose from, or are going to pick out one especially for me, here are some things I would love to see:

~Space! I looooove space and space exploration. If your country has a space program, I'd be thrilled to get a postcard with pictures of your space craft, or of a launch.
~Cultural celebrations or practices/traditional costumes
~Doctor Who :)
~I find moomins adorable, and I'm a sucker for cute things in general
~Catholic churches... it's fun to see my religion in other parts of the world
~Also, other religious structures, as well... I studied religion, so of course I find it fascinating.

But don't stress at all if you don't have/can't find any of that. It's just a guideline if you have a lot to choose from. In general, I love quirky/special things, and I LOVE getting postcards with messages written on the back so I can get to know you, or explaining what's on the front of the card. But really, I just like sending and receiving postcards so I can interact with someone else on this planet that I would never even get to know existed if not for Postcrossing. :)

Lastly, I did list "Spanish" as one of my languages, but my Spanish is very very rusty! If you would like to exchange postcards with me in Spanish, you have to be willing to be very patient with me, haha. =D
