About Ashley...

Hello! I'm Ashley, an English teacher in Florida, USA.

When I'm not in the classroom, I stay busy running, reading (mysteries and contemporary lit/poetry are my favorites), writing, swimming, and sewing. I love plants (succulents and cacti especially), animals, and films. Wes Anderson is my favorite director!

I'm also a graduate student, working on my MA in English and Creative Writing. I enjoy all modes of writing and reading, and am enjoying learning more about the craft. My current class is 20th Century American Lit. I'm currently working on a paper on the influence of the first-generation New York School of poets.

I have a chubby hedgehog named Pear. She has her own Facebook page (which, inexplicably, has a following -- see link above). I also love cats! My profile name is dedicated to my dearly departed cat, Stewart. He was a big sweet tuxedo boy. I recently adopted two baby kittens! They were born on October 17th, so as of updating this, they are about four months old. One is black (a house panther!) with light green eyes and her name is Eleanor. The other is tabby tux with blue eyes named Chidi. Their names are from The Good Place, my favorite TV show. They're so sweet and snuggly -- but always up to something!

I'm open to postcards of all types, but here are some of my favorite themes/series!
-Rina Zenyuk's blue cats! I love this series. The cats are so cute!
-Funny or cute illustrations or photos. Do you have a popular cartoon character in your country, maybe?
-Illustrated infographics: recipes, landmarks, cultural elements. Here's an example: https://www.postcrossing.com/postcards/SG-346966
-Something relating to reading/writing, plants/cacti, cats, hedgehogs, animals, etc.
-Interesting facts or landmarks relating to where you live. Especially if it's illustrated!

If you don't have a card that fits into the above list, no worries! Send something you find interesting. I'm not super picky.

PS: If postage is the same (don't pay extra) and you would like to pop your card into an envelope along with your favorite bag of tea, it would make my day!

If you can't think of anything to write, I appreciate hearing about what you like to read, TV shows/movies you've enjoyed recently, or what you do for fun. I'd love to hear about your pets, too!

Cheers!
-Ashley

PS: If you have a card that's expired or been out for a long time, please don't hesitate to send me a message. I am so busy that I may have missed your card. I'd be happy to register it (especially if you already uploaded the picture).
