Hello,
I'm Lynn. My nickname is Trufflemama because I like chocolate. I live in a quaint little town northwest of Tampa, Florida, USA.

I am a homeschool mom who stays at home most of the time and works outside of the home as a medical lab technologist occasionally.

I was born in Florida, but my parents are from Guam and the Philippines.

I'm married and have 2 kids. My son is grown, and my daughter is 12yo and the very reason that I'm doing these postcards. We are in a homeschool co-op that is teaching them to draw maps of the entire world by school year's end. Their goal is to be able at the end of the year to draw the whole world map and label all the countries capitals and most major features of those areas by memory.

This year I hope to increase their enjoyment of learning about these countries by showing them postcards and helping them to collect postcards from around the world with stamps from that area, and information from the sender.

My daughter and I have started on our own sending what we call H.A.M.
(Happy Art Mail) which is handmade postcards or hand-designed envelopes to one cousin so far. We've only been at it for almost a month. We enjoy handmade postcards--receiving them and sending them.

We would really enjoy a handmade card if you would like to make one.

We love to do art and our postcards are mixed media: ink, colored pencil, and water colors or acrylic paint. We tend to do subjects that we like such as animals or cartoon/anime characters. We may do
other subjects, but we've only just started.

We like journaling in conversational style (informal).
We also like to sing, bake, paint, draw, go to the beach (which is only 5 miles away), collect shells and check out the sea life and wildlife near the beach.

We have no furry pets. Just a fish, because all in our household are
allergic except my dear daughter who keeps loving on most every pet: dog or cat or anything that she can get her hands on. She is a definite animal lover!

Since I am new to this, I would just like to say that we love beautiful, colorful cards that have animals or landscapes or a map
of the area from where the postcard is being sent.

My daughter's FAVORITE ANIMAL IS THE PANDA AND SHE ALSO LOVES CATS, DOGS, ANY KIND OF CUTE CARTOON/ANIME ANIMALS like KAWAII & Rillakuma AND/OR DR. WHO RELATED POSTCARDS.

Also, we would enjoy a lot of writing that includes: telling from where your card is being sent, your favorite color, your favorite animal, your favorite candy, and the cost of your favorite candy, like a single candy bar, etc.
