I am a retired forest pathologist and live in the capital city of Australia. We live with an old and very spoilt Siamese cat.
Hobbies include walking in forests and parks, gardening, reading, chamber music and travel. Canberra is a young city (about 100 years) and the streets and parks have been planted with diverse native and introduced species of trees.
I am passionate about wild mushrooms and other fungi. Old wooden buildings and structures are of great interest. Native plants and other wildlife are an important part of my life.
