Hello! My name is Hsiumei. I'm 49 years old and have a 13-year-old son. I 'm an English teacher at a vocational high school in Pingtung, southern Taiwan. I used to enjoy playing the harmonica, hiking, admiring the nature, and traveling. But now I'm busy working and serving in the church. I have little free time to have a hobby. Thanks to Postcrossing, I can enjoy beautiful landscapes and exotic things from all over the world.
The place I live and work is surrounded by aboriginal villages, and therefore multicultural. I like aboriginal wisdom about the nature.
I started joining in Postcrossing in order to raise the motivation of my students for studying English. Most of them don't like English. I hope to help them experience communicating with the world in this language.
In 2022, I serve as the school library director. I'm conducting a Postcrossing project, including an exhibition of my postcards and a postcard writing activity.
My students and I are looking forward to hearing something about you, your hometown , culture and country.
