About T...

I love to travel and have been all over Europe, America and Asia. Collecting postcards is another great way to view the world. I have collected postcards for over 25 years.

I like cityviews, mountains, lakes, famous landmarks, castles and architecture. NO people, objects, animals, birds, insects, home made or advertising cards. I have saved some of my favourite types of postcards in my postcards wall e.g. famous landmarks like the Great Wall of China and natural scenery like the Great Barrier Reef. I prefer the postcard posted inside an envelope to protect the postcard, as well as collecting used stamps for charity. You are welcome to write a message on the postcard if you want to but I can only read English. Tell me about where you live, your language, culture, history, food, climate and other interesting facts.

I am interested in private / direct swaps.
• I am looking for postcards from USA, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Italy, Greenland, Portugal, Kenya, Mongolia, Malaysia, China, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand.
• I am interested in postcards from/of islands e.g. Cayman, Fiji, Caribbean, Florida Keys, Christmas, Seychelles.
• I like postcards of National Parks e.g. Yellowstone, Everglades, Yosemite, Great Smoky Mountains.

I will trade 1 to 3 Northern Ireland postcards. There are 6 themes of interest in Northern Ireland.
1) UNESCO World Heritage Site - Giant's Causeway has 40,000 interlocking basalt columns as a result of a volcanic eruption. Most of the columns are hexagonal and some are as tall as 12 metres.
2) RMS Titanic was constructed in the Harland and Wolff Shipyard in Belfast. It was the largest passenger steamship in the world but it sank on it's first journey to New York in 1912 when it hit an iceberg, killing 1517 people.
3) Castles - there are many castles in Northern Ireland e.g. Carrickfergus castle, Dunluce castle and Belfast castle.
4) Mourne Mountains - they are the biggest mountain range in Northern Ireland. Author C.S. Lewis used the Mournes as his inspiration for Narnia in the Chronicles of Narnia.
5) St. Patrick is the patron saint. There are places he was associated with in Northern Ireland.
6) Northern Ireland themed - map cards, multiviews, Guinness, monuments, buildings.

I have unused postcards from trips to Europe, USA, Canadian Rockies and China. If you are interested in trading just send me a message.
