Hello, My name is Ben.

I'm 21 years old and live in Melbourne, Australia with my parents and younger brother. I have two cats called Stanley and Coco. My favourite animals are arthropods, particularly spiders but love all animals. I casually work at a pub as a bartender twice a week. I am trying to learn German so a card in German would be great if you know the language, if you speak Standard Mandarin, I would also appreciate it if you wrote in that language as I like to help my cousin who is studying the language at university learn it, by showing him what you wrote. I love Heavy Metal and UK Drill, Slipknot, Rammstein and Infant Annihilator are my favourite metal bands. I am a plane spotter who sometimes heads to the airport to take shots of aircraft, the closest one is an airport for general aviation with only light aircraft. The international airport (Melbourne airport) is too far away which makes it inconvenient most of the time so I don't go there very often. I am also a naturalist and amateur arachnologist who enjoys finding, photographing and identifying species of anything I encounter (surveying), then uploading my findings to iNaturalist to contribute to science, I like to focus on mainly finding spiders though. I am the spider specialist of the Entomological Society of Victoria. I love coffee and regularly go to cafes with my cousin, the way coffee is made and their different flavours is super fascinating. I also have an interest in number stations, which are shortwave radio stations that send cryptic messages to spies, they were common during the Cold War as many of them were operated by Soviet backed countries, the messages are super bizarre (google it as I don't want to bore you with facts :P). One last interest I have are garbage trucks/the waste industry, public transport and cars. I love the sound of engines and their mechanics. Vehicles in general just intrigue me.
