Hello, my name is Penny, I live in rural Tasmania. The population of my village is 197 people, and it is a very beautiful place to live. The earth here is very fertile, we grow mostly potatoes, peas, and medical grade poppies.

I work in a Post Office in my nearest town and I love seeing postcards from different countries. I enjoy showing the postcards I receive to my customers encouraging them to join Postcrossing.

Living on my own, I have a dog called Dory, and two pet rescue pigs called Tricksy and Peppa. Last year (2022), I sadly lost my beautiful 19 year old cat 'Jet' of whom I miss so very much.

Life in Tasmania is so wonderful - I am very lucky, especially during this odd time in the world we live in, to have a supportive close community to rely on.

Thank you for sending me a postcard, I really love receiving each and every one of them, being constantly delighted by information from afar.
