About talviniitty...

Hello all fellow postcrossers,

I'm a woman in my late 30s living in the city of Turku, Finland. To keep it brief, here's a list of things that are close to my heart: social and political theory, grassroots politics, contemporary fiction, gardening, dogs, islands and archipelagoes, urban flaneur as well as strolls by the seaside - among others.

Here are some of my favorite postcard topics, in random order (but see also below):

- snow
- seashores, mountains, rivers, canyons, waterfalls
- bridges
- lighthouses
- old trams & trains
- birds (especially seabirds, cranes, crows and jackdaws)
- dogs
- mailboxes
- books
- bicycles
- urban scenes
- portraits/people's faces and expressions
- Edward Hopper

In general, however, the style of the card matters to me at least as much as the topic. I don't collect certain topics, I just enjoy what I consider to be pretty cards. The best way to get an idea on what kind of style I like is to check out my favorites. I would really appreciate if you sent me something along those lines! But I do understand that this not always possible, so there's no need to be sorry for sending something else.

Some additional preferences:

I like 10 x 15 cm sized cards the most. Also, I hope that you write something substantial on the card instead of a mere greeting. Let me know about your day, or tell me the story of the card, or just anything. :)

Cards that I don't particularly like:

ad and self-made cards, tourist cards (except the kind I've added to my favorites), "funny" cards, pictures of royalty and other prestigious figures, religious topics.

Looking forward to your cards!

*Unfortunately I don't have a scanner at my disposal at the moment, so if you want the picture of your card to be uploaded, you need to do it yourself. Sorry!*
