* I am collecting postcards for my niece’s 13th birthday. Her name is Saminah. You can send a postcard for her instead of me. Saminah is funny and loves jokes. She is fluent in English, Thai, and Lao. Her favorite color is blue. She loves animals. Please write a birthday message, advice for her, or a joke for her. Or write something like “Auntie Susan and Uncle Lah you all the way to (where you’re from) and back!” Saminah has learned to cook traditional food from Thailand and Laos from her mom and grandma… Yummy! My name is Susan. I’m a Licensed Massage Therapist. Life is an adventure. I know I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. (Romans 8:28, Jeremiah 29:11) I love to volunteer because I love people. All people have value. I have taken volunteer trips to Thailand and Romania. I’m engaged to my best friend; his name is Lah. I’m mom to 5 amazing kids: Lauran (17), Savion (16), Jasmine (10), Julie (9), and Henry (7). I have a granddaughter named Za’Miyah, who was born on February 20, 2024.
I don’t live too far from the coast of Georgia (USA). I love that the ocean isn't too far away. When I need to relax, or when life gets overwhelming, I can find peace beside the sea. I believe I have saltwater in my soul!

I will love any postcard you send. I’m happy with all I receive. You are welcome to surprise me! If you do need an idea of what I like:
• Any touristy postcard
• Water or weather related (ocean, lightening)
• Laos or Thailand (Lah’s parents are from these places. He’s first generation American.)
• Buddhist (Lah is Buddhist)
• Christian (I’m Christian)
• Characters (Harry Potter, Disney, Pokémon, superheroes, manga, etc. My kids will like these.)
• Recipes (I’m vegetarian, so I prefer vegetarian postcard recipes. But I’ll be happy with any.) Savion is in the Culinary Arts Program at the high school, so he’ll try any recipe I receive.

You can write anything you wish on the postcard. You are important and I want to know about you! You can tell me about your bucket list, or your adventures. Do you like to listen to podcasts or do you prefer to read? Do you have a hobby you enjoy? Do you volunteer anywhere? I’m so happy to meet you! If no one has told you lately, you are beautiful, valuable, and worthy!

Ibn Batutta said, "Traveling- it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller." I find this so true! I love to travel, but I don't get to very often. I do try to visit a new place at least once a year.
