I am 55, living in Boston, married for 29 years, with three children---two boys in their 20s and a daughter who is 17. My beloved daughter has severe autism, which keeps me at home a lot of the time, and is the reason I love snail mail---something I can do while at home! I am a huge cat lover, with four indoor cats and and two outdoor fixed strays I feed. I am also an avid gardener, mostly of daylilies, hostas and morning glories. I read all the time, usually a book a day! I love to read about life around the world, and travel virtually to places I will most likely never be able to visit in real life.
I love hearing about daily life in other countries---little things like where you shop for food, what you read or watch on TV, what kind of school you or your children go to---things like that! If you have pets, I am very interested to hear about them, or if you flower garden, I'd love to know what flowers you grow. If you have a special item you collect, that's always fun to hear about, too.
I'll love any postcards you want to send! I especially love Blue Cat cards (by Rina Zeniuk) (never worry if I already have the one you are thinking of sending---I love these so much I could have 20 of each and be happy!), cards with cats (illustrations or real ones, I love both!), forest scenes, Christmas themes, subway or other transit maps (to share with my sons!), Pettson and Findus cards, Krtek, DieMaus cards, paper doll cards, Kliban cats, Jetoy cats, cards featuring Queen Elizabeth II, Star Trek, The Simpsons, Peanuts/Charlie Brown/Snoopy, The Beatles, 3-D cards, square cards, floral illustrations, snowflakes...things like that! Although I usually prefer non-touristy cards, I love anything to do with the State of Maine---my home state and my favorite place on Earth.
Every card I receive will be treasured. It is just so amazing getting to know people from around the world a bit by the magic of mail!
I've gotten into Instagram lately, and my name on there is stuzle , like on here---I'd love some Postcrossing friends there (I know they are called followers there, but I'm used to the Facebook term!)
I enjoy interesting stamps a lot, although I'm not a stamp collector. I just love seeing them on your cards! I especially love Christmas or New Years stamps.
Best wishes to everyone!
