Hi! My name is Alexander, or Alex.

1. About me:

I live in Moscow for the last 16 years, since entering the university. But I was born and grew up far from here, in the North-East of Russia, in Yakutsk, one of the coldest cities on Earth. The region of Yakutia where I was born has vast territory, but small population. This is very interesting place where Russian and indigenous Northern nations' cultures (like Yakuts and others) meets.

I live with my wife and my son, he is 3 years old now.

I studied history at the university and later I studied management, but history is my first love)

I like paper books, especially old ones (reading and collecting it). That's why my favourite pastime is visiting bookstores, bookmarkets and libraries.

2. Postcards and postcard writings

I'm interested in postcard pictures, but I'm also interested in writings.
Please, write something: maybe, your today thoughts, smth about your day, about the last book you've read, or about your country, your native region or city (especially info which is not very well-known).

Of course, I will be glad of any postcard, but if you have an opportunity to select something of my favourites, here they are:
- famous persons (I prefer writers, composers, scientists, politicians to singers and actors)
- books, libraries, bookstores
- history
- science
- paintings
- pin-up
- cultural heritage
- religion
And my son's favourites:
- trains, locomotives and railroads

I also like stamps with prominent people's portraits (especially scientists, writers etc.)

3. Languages ​​I can read

- Russian
- Broken English
- Ukrainian and Belorussian (I would be happy to get a card in Ukrainian or Belorussian).
- Chinese: I'd like to receive postcards in Chinese, but please don't use very complicated or regional (dialectal) words. And please write characters slow and legibly))
