Hello, I'm Maria or simply Masha.

I used to know English but have forgotten it successfully in several recent years.

I live in a very steampunky district of Novosibirsk, its name is translated kinda the Waterlocks. It's very close to the most intellectual and green part of our city, Akademgorodok, full of research institutes, scientists, hipsters and squirrels.

The 9th October of the year 2011 changed my life dramatically: our little son was born. I paused my junky-illustrator and C++ developer career and now learn to be a mother. As free time begins to happen again, I returned to the Postcrossing :)

If the receiver doesn't mind receiving handmade cards, I try to draw a special one for her or him. That takes more time than picking a preprinted card but seems to please more. Umm... At least, I hope so.

If you received a card from me and it has a return address - that is to be more sure that the card had found its way, not a demand for anything. Though I'm always happy to get something other than free newspapers.

I like postcards with stamps and no envelopes, steampunk, watercolour drawings, illustrations for kids, something about geeks, computers, zeppelins, snails, cats and owls. I love handmade and self-drawn cards as long as they won't be hurt much in delivery. Bright colours and kind jokes.

Anyway, all the cards received are a little big holiday :)
