About spu...

I am a researcher who works in genetics. Anything related to biology, nature, medicine or philosophy is of interest to me (anything from flowers and animals, through anatomical illustrations to existentialism).
I'd be happy if you include a poem that is dear to you on the postcard, as I like poetry as well. Or you can mention your favourite book (:
If literature isn't your thing, maybe you can tell me one thing you would change about this planet and why, what is your earliest memory, or you can tell me about your dreams and aspirations.

While I'm aware that people from the US aren't particularly well-known for their sense of transculturalism or Geography expertise, I've had the (rare?) privilege of having travelled around the world and aside Sub-Saharan Africa, South America and Antarctica, I've been to every continent, so don't feel like you have to explain e.g. that Taiwan is not the same as China (I've spent a month in Taiwan), or that Germans like to drink beer (during six weeks in Germany, there was no way that I would not have drank it with them).

If you can make the message truly about yourself, as you are a unique soul in this world, it would be wonderful.

I welcome any postcard; don't feel like you have to spend hours/days/heaps of money to find the right postcard for me - even the thought of someone I am not personally familiar with sending me a postcard counts.
I personally find laundry lists of wishes rather intimidating, sometimes straight off-putting.

So I have no lists/demands/requests/exclusion criteria; just send me whatever postcard feels right.

But if you hit a serious writer's block and have absolutely no idea what to write (aside "happy postcrossing" or something along those lines), I'd prefer to receive the card unwritten if that is OK. A card with a bland and meaningless message like that, even from a "rare" country, makes me rather sad; like seeing a drug addict that has wasted his or her potential.

Looking forward to all your cards.

Happy postcrossing.

PS: If it is not too much trouble, please put the written postcard in an envelope as the automated US postal service sorters do not treat the postcards too gently.
PPS: Русскоязычные, можете мне писать по русски
PPPS: Si habla español, escribeme en español, por favor!

PPS: If a card you sent me expired, PLEASE DO GET IN TOUCH!!
