♥ Hi everyone! ♥

My name is Sonya (Софья, Соня) and I am a university student. I’m studying at the faculty of linguistics and working part-time as a translator.

I have been fond of foreign languages since childhood. I speak English fluently, and I’m studying German as my third language at uni (so if you know German, I would appreciate it if you could write to me in German, because it's a practice for me). As for my hobbies, I like doing handmade staff — I draw, make clay trinkets, weave beaded jewelry in my free time. I recently tried sewing for the first time!

I like listening to music. Mostly I listen to slowed songs or mashups since they are really atmospheric. On the other hand, I like rock-music as well. My favorite bands are Måneskin and Nickelback.

My guilty pleasure is Turkish TV series. It is impossible to put them down. I also like BBC TV series "Sherlock" and "Titanic" (1997). I am fond of "Twilight" (especially the first and the second parts). I don’t know what I like more about it — the atmosphere or Robert Pattinson ;)

I also collect coins from different counties. I just like when people collect something. Have you seen the American TV show “Pawn Stars”? I love it!!!

I was abroad three times (Turkey, Czech Republic and Germany) so Postcrossing for me is a way to learn some information about other countries. Besides, a postcard can make us close although we do not know each other. And in general, the fact that your postcard with your handwriting is somewhere on the other side of the world is amazing!

Please, if you send me a card, write some information about yourself. I will be happy if you tell me about your hometown or country (culture, cuisine, traditions, beautiful things, sights, misconceptions about your country, etc). I'm really curious about life in other countries. So please tell me about the place you are living in. I appreciate when you write the date, the weather with temperature and some words in your native language.

Feel free to send me anything you like, even the weirdest postcards. I will be happy to receive any. Just surprise me! But if you need an inspiration, then here it is — Royal families, couples in love, memes and jokes, local sights of your city/country, hedgehogs, heroes of my favorite films which I have already mentioned, aesthetic or retro postcards, postcards with a text on your native language.
