About Michelle...

Hello there!

I am an elementary school librarian, mom of twins, and snail mail enthusiast. I enjoy traveling, crochet, and letterboxing.

As a librarian, I especially love bookish postcards or book related stamps. If you are wondering what to write feel free to tell me about one of your favorite books. Or perhaps your favorite library, or a bookstore you love.

I am fascinated by the various terms around the world for book lovers. For example, here in California I call myself a “book worm”. When I lived in Italy the term translated to “library mouse”! Please tell me yours, or one that you have heard (and liked) and where it is from.

Postcards and stamps I am thrilled to get:
*Libraries or books
*Colors (lavender is my favorite color, metallic colors, rainbows)
*Local Views
*Fun or silly postcards
*Handmade (do you like to make your own postcards? Collage? Alter postcards? Awesome! Send them my way!)
*Lovely stamps from all over the world
*Any postcard that makes you happy!

If you aren’t sure what to say and want to take part in my guessing games for the library, then give me your guess and I will let you know the answer when I register the card. Hint: I work at a school with about 240 students in grades TK - 3rd grade, and I see each class every week.

1) How many books did I check out in 2023?
2) How many story times did I have in the library in 2023?
3) How many books did I read aloud since this school year began (in September)?
4) How many books are in my library?
5) How many books are currently “‘lost”?

Answer any or all of the questions, and write the question number with your guess. Good luck!

Thanks so much, and I look forward to hearing from you!
