Hey there, my name is Christian and I am from the lovely town of Vienna, Austria, directly situated on the beautiful Danube river.
I study history at the University of Vienna and work as a civil servant.
I do have many hobbies, like writing, collecting fountain pens and inks (Feel free to write me a postcard with your favourite pen&ink combo), reading, learning about different cultures and languages, mechanical keyboards, music, gardening and, as a bit of a left-field hobby, Formula 1. This isn't a complete list, but these are the ones which come to my mind right now.
I do not really have any preferences regarding what type of card you send, but it would be a joy to get some historic views of your country/city/neighbourhood or about something that is dear to your heart.
If you do not know what to write on the postcard, here are some writing promts:
- What is your favourite national dish and what is it made from?
- Do children in your country still learn how to write in cursive?
- What is your favourite fruit? What is your favourite colour, and why?
- If you could learn a skill, which one would it be?
- What is your least favourite vegetable? Why?
- Why are watermelons and mangoes so delicious?
I don't mind receiving cards written in your mother tongue, it would even be a joy!
RUSSIAN: I do understand just a litte bit of Russian, so if you write me in Russian do imagine me as a 3 y.o. child, so I might understand it without using a translator.
JAPANESE: It would be my pleasure if you could use your HANKO (I am weirdly fascinated by them, I don`t know why ^__^ ) on the card in any way our form. Besides that, I would love postcards with scenes and figures from Aggressive Retsuko (アグレッシブ烈子), My Neighbor Totoro (となりのトトロ) and Sailor Moon (美少女戦士セーラームーン). This is in no way a must, recipes and local views would be great as well.
