About Silja...

mom (39) of three kids and married. Working in a social and health care. Loves animals.
Huge fan of knitting. I love dinosaurs, tattoos, skulls, little bit morbid things, sunflowers, history, mythology. Comics, sci-fi,arts and photography. Ripley´s Believe it or not. Coney Island. Antropology. Steam punk, urban (street) art. The Simpsons. Star Trek.Graveyards. Urban exploring. Rats. Nature. Odditycentral in the web.

I like to show my kids about the world and new places and stamps so cards are ideal way to make them curious about geography and new cultures and world´s amazing even bit weird, yet interesting traditions, places.

I´d like to find mythical or folklorical postcards. Postcards about sceneries, historical sites, animals .Especially about reptiles and creepy crawlies, bats,UNESCO world heritage sites. But I´m not too fussy. Tribal art ( aboriginal, American natives, Maori...also native people around the world are interesting.. Amazonian indians. Celtic art and so on)Ruins, trees, Nicht lustig-comics. The Simpsons. Caves. Super Awesome-postcards.

Especially cards from Vienna (Wien) would make me so happy, because Vienna happens to be my favourite city and I miss there so much.
You can write to the postcard whatever pops in your head. If you put the postcard inside the envelope and put there something whatever you find, maybe even a tiny pebble or candy wrap.( But I prefer cards with no envelope, but I won´t go nuts if you´ll find something interesting to put inside teh envelope) Just use your imagination. Not just once sentence which includes: Happy postcrossing. Please, put the date.

You can write about your daily life. What you see when you look outside the window. You can write also about your favourite books, art, your favourite place in your home town/city...write something in your language clearly and I try to figure out what you are saying. No need to put translation. Some curiosity about your town or even about you.

NO Christmas, Easter cards, but other folklorical and traditional festivity-cards will do. NO sports-cards. NO Disney-cards, NO cards of celebrities. No cards with pin ups neither half naked people ( unless it´s some kind of traditional clothing). No baby-cards. No Hello Kitty. NO AD-cards or hand-made cards. No Touchnote or other Internet-related cars.

Suomalaiset krossaajat. Tykkään lehmäkorteista ( erityisesti musta-valkeista lehmistä elikkä friisiläisistä). Taidekorteista. Ja oman kotipaikkakunnan kortit kans kelpaa. Mitä pienempi paikkakunta sen parempi.Fingerpori. Kiroileva Siili. Viivi ja Wagner. Kaj Stenvall. Joutomaan Reetta Isotupa-Siltasen kortit on huippua samoin Virkkukoukkusen. Kiitos. Ne ns. Hölmölä-kortit ei oo mun juttu.
