About Simona...

Recently, I was thinking a lot about values of life. After February 24, 2022 I understood that world is not so nice, maybe our future is not so bright as we thought. I am shocked about the war that is happening in Ukraine. I am very sad about that....
I wish peace to the World!
Hello, my name is Simona. I am from Lithuania. I am simple woman in thirties living with partner Donatas and cat Luna. I don‘t have a lot of hobbies but I like postcards and stamps. While I was pupil, my English teacher and friends told me about Postcrossing. Few years later I have started actively send postcards, now I am also interesting in stamps.

I don‘t read a lot of books (it is sad) but I have started few books and time to time continue reading them. I am watching films and TV serials more (maybe too much) than reading books. I am just like that. Also, I am Eurovision Song Contest fan, I watch this contest every year. It is like a tradition for me. I also like Olympic games. Thank you for last year‘s Summer and this year‘s Winter Games. It is awesome how strong people can be.
I have few other accounts:
Bookcrossing (learned from other postcrosser by receiving book from this project, awesome!) -
Colnect (page where I keep tracking what stamps I have received with postcard, it so awesome) -

Please recommend book, film, sightseeing place of your country, dish and I will add to my list. Also, please write something that you think it is important, write interesting/rare fact, special date about your country. Please write „Happy Postcrossing“ only if you feel that you don‘t know what to write, you don‘t feel that you want to write something to me. That is fine.

View side of the postcard: It is totally up to you what you will chose to send. Tourist postcard from your country is always good choice. Other themes:
- Olympic games;
- Eurovision Song Contest;
- science, formulas, numbers;
- cross-stitching schemes;
- maps of different countries/districts;
- castles;
- traditional clothes;
- Buddha;
- Yoga;
- Woman in Science series cards (I already have Ada Lovelace, Alice Ball, Annie Easley, Christiane Nusslein-Volhard, Dorothy Hodgkin, Elizabeth Blackburn, Esther Lederberg, Florence Bascom, Gerty Cori, Grace Hopper, Hedy Lamarr, Hertha Ayrton, Hypatia, Jane Goodal, Jocelyn Bell Burnell, Katherine Johnson, Katia Krafft, Lillian Gilbreth, Mae Jemison, Mamie Phipps Clark, Maria Goeppert-Mayer, Maria Sibylla Merian, Marie Curie, Maryam Mirzakhani, Mary Anning, May-Britt Moser, Nettie Stevens, Rachel Carson, Rosalind Franklin, Rosalyn Yalow, Sau Lan Wu, Sylvia Earle, Valentina Tereshkova, Vera Rubin) and other leaders, science persons.

I am not a fan of hand made, Covid-19 related cards.

This is just my preferences. You are free to send what you like to send and don‘t feel bad that this is not from list mentioned above.
