About Silvia...

Hi fellow postcrosser!
I'm glad to be part of this community :)
---------------------------

Right now I would define myself as a mother of two baby boys, born on March 2017 and December 2018 (yes, I know! Not very far apart from each other :) . Yago and Yannick are the most beautiful and the craziest thing me and my husband have ever done :)

I’m from Spain but before Cape Verde I've lived in Portugal, the UK and Brazil. Since 2010 Mindelo is my home. I love it here! I hope I can contribute to let the world know a little bit more about this fascinating and unknown small Atlantic country.

I teach Sociolinguistics and I'm carrying out research about bilingualism, languages in contact, minority vs dominant languages, language aqcquisition in children, etc. so I'm always open to hear about your own experience. For example:
-If two or more languages are spoken in your country, what do you use each of them for?
-Is your mother tongue different from your country's official language?
-If you or your family don't live in your home coutry, what language did/would you pass on to your children? Why?
-If you live in an English-speaking country, what specific features does the English spoken in your región have?

But REALLY, write about absolutely anything you want. Or draw, doodle, paste sth... Express yourself!

Thanks!
