I actually live in a little town called Vernonia, but Forest Grove was the closest choice I had from the list. I love where I live. I moved here a few years ago, and really love the country and the people. I am a farm girl at heart, and so far this is as close as I have gotten to my dream.
I am a cat lady. I am helping my neighbor capture the local strays and getting them fixed. We feed about 20 to 30, depending on the 'migration' pattern at the moment. I have always loved cats, and before this I fostered troubled cats from my home for a local no-kill shelter.

I love getting postcards(duh!). I have a small 'Quiet' wall started by my bed where I hang peaceful postcards; rain, ocean, beach, fields and sky. That sort of thing. HOWEV-AR-
I like colors, people, places, close-ups of monkeys flipping off zoo spectators, underwater scenes, hand drawn or crafted cards, cultural shots, spoofs and jokes, cards made from photos you have taken, cats, cute little things, owls, tattoos, other wildlife, flowers, and most recently; glitter. Yeah, I am about 40 years late on the liking glitter thing, but I finally got there! I love going to new places. I have done a lot of traveling in the USA, and a little in Europe; mostly Switzerland, since my mother is from there. My dad and I used to do road trips to desert country. My favorite places have been the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park. I could spend an entire summer hiking, taking pictures, and eating campfire food there! I love being out in the sun, seeing how light plays off the water, the grass, the clouds. I can spend quite a while watching birds, and often imagine the little conversations they are having in my head. I also make sound effects when watching animals.I enjoy getting my hands in the dirt, and yard work. I love the sense of accomplishment it gives me. I love watching chickens. They have the silliest run! I love bookmarks, since I read a ton. Funny garage sale finds are always a hit. I recently picked up a childs bed tray with the most hilarious collage of cats and dogs dressed in paper cut out clothes. I looove flannel.

Dislikes: Cutesy;(baby, dresses up kittens, etc)not my thing. I’m not into gory, bloody and extremely scary. Pastel colors, (although they have their place). Gothic,depressing stuff. I need all the joy I can get in my life. Not into hard-core vintage. I am not a girly girl, so lace, romance and things romantic-squishy are not my thing.

Great bumper stickers I have seen: I’d tell you to go to hell, but I work there and don’t want to see you every day.
