About Silke...
Hey!
My name is Silke, I’m 15 years old and live in a small harbou town called Harlingen in the north of the Netherlands.
To tell something about myself; I go to school in the ‘big city’, 30 minutes away by train. It’s a Gymnasium school, which means a school with Greek and Latin as extra languages. Since I’m a little busy with school, because of travelling and long days, I don’t have ALL the time to send postcards, but in the weekends and holidays I’ll try to send as much as possible.
Besides school, I also have some spare time, fortunately. I mostly play basketball in my spare time, I exercise two or three times each week. I also really like meeting my friends, reading and watching series. Most series I watch are English or American, but I’ve seen Scandinavian series, too; SKAM (Norwegian) and The Rain (Danish), which I both really liked. Let me know if you’ve watched them, too!
When I was a couple years younger, I was postcrossing, too. I stopped for a couple years cause it became a little too much for me. I went to a new school, met new people and was very busy. I also wasn’t really good with the English language, and I’m really happy that it’s going way better right now.
Now that I restarted postcrossing, it’s been really good for me and my English, I’ve made a new friend and really like to write letters and postcards.
I always used to have a really big list with a lot of postcard wishes, but now I don’t anymore. I like every card you send me, as long as you write something nice on it. If you don’t have any ideas for a card, here are some:
-fashion
-room decoration
-books
-map of your city/country
-something related to music
To write on your card; tell something about yourself, what you like, your hobbies, just tell me anything! You can also write about your card, city or country, I would like to know where you live.
If you don’t want to write all the basic stuff, you can always send me a recipe of some food you really like. Good to know: I don’t eat meat; I’m vegetarian.
Also PLEASE write the date on your card.
I would also really like it if you write some sentences or words in your own language, especially if you’re from Scandinavia.
Have a nice day! / Fijne dag!
Silke :)
