Hello there! My name is Olesya. I live in Sevastopol, beautiful charming town near the Black sea. I like to send postcards to different countries telling something about my native town and the region I live in. I like to check my mailbox and receive postcards from all over the world, reading about a person who sent it for me, discover new places.
My another passion is hiking. Almost every Sunday I walk 15-20 km in the forest. I like pick herbs, berries, mushrooms. The most pleasant moment is to climb to the top of the mountain, sit on the end of the cliff and look into the distance, drink tea made of the herbs I picked and dried myself.
I would like to know about the country from which the postcard will be, show me the unique features of your hometown, tell me about unusual traditions, fairytale heroes of your childhood, merry festivals and holidays. Tell me about something common for you but surprising for me.
I adore to examine postcards and stamps with my little daughter Kate, she is 8. I translate for her the message, explain the picture. That is the way for us to study the world and travel to the new distant places via postcrossing.
