Well hello there,
My name is Shirley, and I live in Rotterdam which is located in the Netherlands.
I like to travel as much as possible all over, and especially to the USA (if my bank account allows me to ).
Music is also a big part in my life, without it I feel empty. That’s why I try to visit a lot of concerts, to get the live vibe.

Why Postcrossing??? Well, for several reasons. First, I have always loved to get mail! Secondly, I love to send cards as much as I do receiving them. I look at the recipient’s profile and try to pick the perfect card – sometimes it’s tough! (Sorry if I don’t pick the perfect card for you!) Third, is when you get a reaction on your send card, hoping that it brought a smile at someone’s face (where ever on this planet).

Postcards? I used to say, “Send something that you yourself would enjoy receiving”. I still think that’s good advice, though sometimes I wonder… But I’m sure you’d like more direction than that. I always do. I hate to list a lot of preferences, because someone could send me something that I never would have imagined I’d like.

Here are some suggestions for cards I particularly like -- but really, any kind you'd like to send me will be just fine. I'm always happy to see interesting stamps, too. :)
- black & white / vintage / retro
- interesting scenery or iconic buildings (monuments) from your area
- historic, unusual, art, celebrities are very welcome.
- trees and flowers, wildlife and also maps
