About Laura...

Hello! Hola! My name is Laura. I live in Norfolk, VA with my cat Misa, but I hope to travel the world one day. I am currently a student at college, studying Business Management. I love to travel and try to see as many interesting things as I can. There are just so many neat things to do in the world!

Some of my hobbies include travelling, photography, sculpture, hiking, reading (especially graphic novels and science fiction), going to concerts and performances. And, of course, writing postcards and letters!

I also enjoy dog training and dog sports. My heart dog, a German Shepherd, is also trianing to be my service dog. We dabble in obedience competitions, FastCAT lure coursing events, and bikejoring (where he pulls my bike as I ride). I am trying to build a dog sled for use on sand, as we don't get snow but live very close to the beach. It is a work in progress.

My favorite things about postcrossing are learning about new places and making new friends. I think of all of you as my friends, even if I haven't met you yet.

I especially enjoy receiving:
-viewcards/tourist cards of your country (I like single and multiviews-anything you'd like to share!)
-historical and political figures
-cards showing women activists and women's issues
-animal cards
-art cards
-weird/strange cards
-"Greetings from..."
-map cards
-cards you might not send anyone else (surprise me!)

But, of course, if you would rather send something else I am perfectly happy to get that, too! I love the surprise of not knowing what I am going to get. I am always interested in information about your country and your language and what you do for fun, but you can write me whatever you want on your cards. Reading about the sender is my favorite thing about receiving a new card. I love the personal touch.

If you can't think of anything to write:
-Tell me about your day.
-What makes you really happy? Even the little things!
-Tell me a secret (I promise I won't tell)
-A quote that inspires you
-What are your dreams and goals?
-What fun facts would you like to share about your country/city/town?

I also enjoy looking at different languages. Write a short phrase or word on your card in your native language (with translation, please!).

I would appreciate it if you would sign and date your cards.

Happy Postcrossing!

I am trying to improve my Spanish and Dutch, so if you would write me in those languages I would be extra grateful!
