About Michele...

Hi there!
My name is Michele, I live in Helena, Montana (USA). I am in my 50s and I am looking forward to receiving postcards from the world over. I live right between two of America's National Parks: Yellowstone to the south and Glacier-Waterton International Peace Park to the north. I am an avid photographer so I spend much of my free time in the parks.
I am anxious to learn about many new and wonderful places all over our wonderful planet!
Some of my other hobbies are Geocaching.com , reading, writing, crocheting, camping, hiking, cooking, gardening, and wasting time on Facebook.com (where I share all of my sent and received postcards with my online friends). When I am not doing one of those, I relax by sitting on my front deck, either by myself or surrounded by friends, enjoying the beauty of Montana's Rocky Mountains while drinking a cup of hot tea or a cold cocktail.
I enjoy hearing about an area's local history, so I'd love a sentence or two about your area! If you don't know much history, write about a local custom or event. Let me know about upcoming holidays and how you celebrate them. If there are postcards about it...I'd love to get one! I do celebrate Christian holidays (Christmas, Easter, etc) and a card to commemorate these is welcome OR if you celebrate other holidays please write and tell me about the day and how it is traditionally celebrated, no matter the religion.

I LOVE POSTCARDS OF ALL TYPES. Handmade cards are great! If you make your own please don't hesitate to send one. They are full of imagination, craftsmanship, and are unique one-of-a-kind items. if you like to match cards to the receivers interests I enjoy:
Rubber Duckies,
Hummingbirds,
Sunrises and sunsets,
Books,
Mardi Gras, Carnival, masquerade and similar masks/costumes/ scenes,
"Cheeky" or naughty (nudes are ok, too!)
Tea Cups and/or Tea Pots (coffee, too!),
City views,
Beautiful Landscapes,
Ocean / Beach views
Old ships (Tall masts, many sails)
Shipwrecks
Multi-View and touristy cards
UNESCO/World Heritage Sites

so a card with one of those themes would be a joy! I do have quite a few examples of what I like in my "favorites", but do not feel obligated to find any particular card. I love them all equally!
Please write on the postcard and send it without an envelope. I like to see the stamps and travel marks the card may get as it finds it's way to my mailbox! Alternatively, if you would rather send a card in an envelope, slide a newspaper or magazine clipping or other random item in the envelope with the postcard. These are unexpected, fun to receive, and really make my week!

If you really can't think of something to write... just look out the window and tell me what you see!

HAPPY POSTCROSSING!
p.s. I was away from Postcrossing for quite a few years so if you contacted me and I didn't respond I apologize.
