I am recently retired. My most recent employment was as a technician for a local eye surgeon. Though I loved my job, my family, home, and community are the focus of my life. My husband and I had 5 children and now have 10 grandchildren. We enjoy traveling to visit them though a couple are still close to home. I have been out of the United States to visit Canada, cruise to Carribean Islands, and a fabulous trip to Paris, France. In the summer we enjoyed a trip to Prague and ended a delightful cruise down the Danube to Budapest. We were impressed with the old buildings and amazing architecture in Europe. My education included literature and I still enjoy reading to learn more about different cultures. I am excited to receive postcards from around the world. I will enjoy any picture postcards that give me a taste of the life of the person sending the card. I love gardening and also enjoy the arts. I believe the only way to achieve peace in the world is through learning more about one another, no matter the differences. We live in a single family home near a moderately sized city. We have a couple acres of land with a woods behind our house and enough land for some gardening. Our climate has 4 district seasons. It is a beautiful place to live with just enough snow in the winter and heat in the summer to make life interesting. Few extremes.
