Hi there,

My name is Serenad and I'm a lawyer living in Istanbul with my dear husband and two cats (Uzum, a white angora cat and Marlon, a silver chincilla). I joined postcrossing a few months ago to start a postcard collection and soon found out that this community offers more than just the cards. Exploring the world and different cultures through postcards is simply amazing.

A little something about me: I love DIY projects, animals, travelling, reading, rock music, vintage photography, any kinds of art, architecture, nature.

Since this community is a place for me to learn about other cultures, I would love to read about every day life in other countries, cultural differences, traditional aspects and such; all letters are more than welcome. I really hate a-mile-long wishlists on profiles, so I won't make one myself. Anything you choose is fine by me, as long as you put the card in an envelope (if it is too much trouble for you, just send it anyway). It would also be very nice if you date your card.

A very special request: please do not send me a card that contains animal abuse such as bull fighting, rodeo and other traditional but (in my opinion) barbaric things. I recently got a rodeo card, so I had to write this.
