About Sekar...

My name is Sekar. It means 'flower' in my mother tongue. I come from Indonesia, the world's largest archipelagic country which is blessed with a very diverse natural and cultural richness. I was born in the city of Yogyakarta which is renowned for its traditional culture and heritage.

Since August 2012, I have resided in Stockholm, Sweden, as I received Swedish Institute Study Scholarship to study a Master's Programme in Urban and Regional Planning at Stockholm University. Stockholm is beautiful and I really enjoy living in this capital. Here, I have experienced a lot of new things in my life, including the cold snow and the long dark winter. It really was "a dream comes true" because I had always wanted to go to Scandinavia for a long time.

My husband is an architect, and we share the same passion for books, travelling, observing cities, enjoying art, design and architecture. I love listening to Coldplay and Kings of Convenience. My favourite animals are pandas and cats. I have been interested in snail-mail since childhood. However, I have just started to send and receive postcards in the last two years after I signed-up to Postcrossing. It is amazing to feel being in touch with people around the world through some pieces of paper arrived in my hand.

I enjoy a wide range of postcards with various forms and materials, either paper, 3D, handmade or wooden postcards. Here are a long list of my favourite themes:

I am basically not a picky postcrosser. I would love to receive any postcards that you think is good. Because I believe that every postcard is special, it takes long journey to arrive in my hand. So, surprise me with your choice! :)

I love written and stamped cards. Colourful and unique stamps make me happy. Please do not forget to write your name clearly on your postcard because I want to address you by name in my thank-you-message.

Thank you!

PS: I do not have a scanner so that I cannot upload the images of postcards I send/receive.
