Hi! We are excited to begin Postcrossing! We can't wait to get a postcard. Our Avitar is a picture of one of us under the 25 foot long dragon we made for Chinese New Year. We took it on parade through the classes.

We are a second grade class in northern California, about one hour north of San Francisco. Some of us are 7 years old and some of us are 8 years old.

Our school is by a tall hill. There are cows grazing on the hill and it looks really pretty off in the distance. At recess we boys like to play Kick-back. We kick the ball back and forth to each other. We play soccer, Black-out, Two Touch, Kickball, and Army. We girls like to play games together like basketball, hop-scotch, tether ball, Crazy Baby, 4 Square, jump rope, and Crazy Swings. We all like to climb on the climbing wall or play on the swings and the playground.

In class the most important thing we do is reading. We read silently every day for 30 minutes. We also do math and lots of writing. We are lucky because we have a computer lab and a science lab. Our school is a charter school. That means we get to pick a focus for our school. Our focus is fine arts. We do lots of art and music. This semester we have a Hawaiian music/dance program. We are learning Hawaiian dance from a master Hula teacher. She is really great.
