About Sara...

Hello, you fellow postcrosser!

I'm Sara, a 21-year-old life- and adventure loving girl from "Kontiolahti", Finland. It's a smaller area located close to a bigger city called "Joensuu". I'm a Tourism & Hospitality Management student in a University of Applied Sciences & travelling as well as getting to know other countries cultures and habits is one of my favourite things in life! Which is why I decided to join postcrossing - to explore new places trough the postcards that I will receive trough postcrossing! :)
This spring I'll also get a chance to move back to Germany for a few months for my internship (I used to live in Hamburg for 2 years a few years ago) which I can't wait for! Wenn Sie aus Deutschland kommen, bitte schreiben Sie auch gerne die Postkarte auf Deutsch :)

In my freetime I like to watch movies or tv-series, meet with my friends, or cook at home and try out new different recipes (feel free to share a recipe from your home country if you'd like to!) Playing frisbeegolf or going for a walk with my dog (a 10-year-old mix of Labrador and Golden Retriever) are also some of the things I like to do. Last summer I also tried out geocaching for the first time - and now I am also addicted to it! I also like to play all sorts of card- and boardgames (especially strategic ones like carcassone!)

So, that's pretty much me :) I would really much appreciate if you could write more than just "happy postcrossing" etc. in the card you are sending to me, because reading the backside of your postcard is for me what makes receiving postcards so thrilling! If you're hesitating what to write on your postcard here are some ideas for you:

- Some facts about you, your life, your hometown/homecountry, place where you're living...
- Some phrases/proverbs in your native language
- If you can think of any wierd/funny tradition of your culture I'd love to hear it!

All sorts of cards are welcome and appreciated, but if you happen to have some of the following ones you'll make me extremely happy :)

- Big sized or oddly shaped postcards
- Map cards
- Cards with landscapes or pictures of cities, pictures of buildings or famous sights etc. (so basically normal ''tourist'' postcards)

I also like if the picture in the card is somehow related to your city, country or culture - for example, architecture, food, national costume or art of your country.

One last thing - I would be very happy if you don't send advertising or religious cards etc...Thank you!

Happy postcrossing! <3
