I am retired from the University of California and recently opened a small espresso shop in southern Oregon. Some of my favorite things to do are expository writing, creating miniature mosaic art, and traveling. I especially love the state of Alaska, USA and the town of Homer, Alaska. I travel there as frequently as possible both in summer and the winter months. Last May, I drove from southern Oregon to Homer, Alaska and this past February I flew up and was fortunate to view the Aurora Borealis two consecutive nights in a row. Being very fond of animals, of all kinds both in the wild and domestic, I really enjoy living the retired rural life after spending my growing up years and adult life, until retirement, in my also much loved home area of urban Los Angeles, California. We currently share our household with two large dogs and six cats with a plethora of deer, wild turkeys, fox, and bobcats, wild geese and many varieties of birds crisscrossing the forest and meadows outside.
