Hello,

my name is Ines and I live in Essen, Germany.

About 580.000 people live in Essen, different sources assume it's the 7th, 8th or 9th biggest city in Germany. I am not sure who is right :) The city is located in the Ruhr region, the largest agglomeration in Europe. Once this area was famous for its coal and steel production, but today this has changed.

Essen and the Ruhr region were one of the European capitals of culture in 2010, our old coal mine "Zollverein" is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001. In 2017 Essen just received the title European Green Capital for its transformation from coal and steel to the greenest city in North Rhine- Westphalia (the federal state where Essen is located).

Nevertheless I want to move away after my university degree. I dream of a cute house in a rural area in North Germany. I study law at university and work part-time.

I have always loved animals and I'm a crazy cat lady! My furbabies are Dexter, a ginger boy, Sheldon, a black boy, Penny, a siamese girl --> all born in 2013 and Lenny, a ginger boy, born 2016, all from the same shelter in Castellbisbal, Spain (www.tierrettung-in-katalonien.org). I‘m also a godmother to a young cow that was born at Lebenskühe (www.lebenskuehe.de) a sanctuary for mainly cows. Her name is Felicitas. Her mother was a dairy cow that was rescued from being sent to slaughter while she was pregnant with Felicitas, so both lives were saved.

I also love reading, watching documentaries and some other stuff (Simpsons, Family Guy, The Big Bang Theory,...), taking photos, interior design, (animal friendly) cooking & baking, shopping, gardening (I grow my own veggies) and I try to travel as much as possible, whenever I find some time :)

...and of course I love postcards postcards postcards :D I like many different kinds of postcards, views of your country/city, if possible with the name on it ♥, cute and beautiful ones, unusual and crazy ones,... cats, pigs, cows (illustrations, art) :D the moomins, kotovasiya,....
