Hello there!
I live, with my husband, in central southern Ontario, Canada (about a 3-hour drive from Toronto, where I grew up). We are in the country. There are many beautiful forests and lakes near my home. I have a large garden, for fruit and vegetables as well as flowers.
I have four grown children and two grandchildren. I enjoy cooking, especially things like jam, pies, baked goods and fruitcake. I love to make quilts, to knit, and to make clothes. I help out at the local food bank, finding recipes and cooking for community lunches.
I enjoy watching movies, especially noir-style detective stories, as well as modern thriller and suspense stories. I do a lot of reading; classics, detective novels, modern literature. If you've read something interesting lately, or seen a great movie, tell me about it!
My oldest son introduced me to Postcrossing. The post cards he has received are lovely (not to mention, the stamps! So beautiful!), and he is always so pleased to receive a new one in the mail. My favourite postcards have artwork on them; birds and/or flowers, and landscapes, especially. Postcrossing, an activity that brings happiness to all –––– what a great idea!
