About Riitta...

If you have a garden and a library you have everything you need (Cicero).

I love nature, wandering in the woods. There´s no bad weather, only inappropriate clothing. Wild berries and mushrooms fill my freezers. I love potato and used to grow several varieties in my garden, Cecile and Mozart still are my absolute favorites. Mayan Gold and Shetland Black are beautiful, too. Nowadays I let most parts of the garden grow wild.

Classical music and good literature are my things. My favorite composer - depends on the day and mood. Favorite author - there are so many... Fedor Dostojevski, Lev Tolstoi, Tsingis Aitmatov, Oscar Wilde, Herman Hesse, Franz Kafka, D.H.Lawrence, Tolkien, Ernest Hemingway, Seamus Heaney, Kazuo Ishiguro, Haruki Murakami etc. And I love Harry Potter. Among Finnish authors one is above others and he is Juhani Peltonen who died much too young. From contemporary authors my favorites are Kari Hotakainen and Tommi Kinnunen.

I´ve got two Mittelspitz dogs. Chocolate brown girl Alaska (10 years old) and orange-sable boy Töpö (2 years old). They walk me at least twice a day no matter what the weather is and are the best company one can have.
