Hi,everyone!
My name is Maria.I am from a small nice country Belarus.
At university my major was English and British studies. I also have a master's degree in translation and interpretation.
I work for an IT company and teach foreign languages as a hobby.

So far I can speak Russian, Belarusian, English and German.
My free time I dedicate to different things,mostly connected with arts (literature,classical music and opera,museums) and traveling.

I am fascinated with castles and Gothic architecture,medieval clothes and engraving,organs,stained-glass windows - everything connected with Middle Ages.

I like impressionism and Art Nouveau (modern) in art, ALFONS MUCHA and Monet and Degas. ^^

I adore books and libraries. My favourite authors and books are "The Lord of the Rings" (and other books by Tolkien),"Harry Potter","The Song of Ice and Flame","The Witcher", Oscar Wilde, Ray Bradberry.
It would be nice if you write on the card which book you are reading now or have just read and if you like it.Or may be your favourite book(-s) you advise me to read :)
I also collect books signed by their authors.

I am a big fan of lighthouses and sea/ocean and opera houses. I visit those in every country I go :)
So far I've been in 17 countries and planning new adventures.

My favourite flowers are lilies.
