Hello! I would first like to say how much I admire anyone who has learned a different language. I have tried and failed. I often hear of others apologizing for their English, but I am always very impressed, so please be proud of your accomplishment!

I live in the American Midwest on the southern tip of Lake Michigan near a beautiful beach called "The Dunes." I am married and have one adult son. My husband died of brain cancer in the March 2020.

I graduated from a college near Chicago and have had a wide variety of occupations (waitress, library clerk, cashier, newspaper correspondent / author, art teacher, caregiver for elderly and disabled individuals, and more). If I could do anything, however, I would help those struggling with mental and emotional illnesses.

Some of the activities I enjoy include working on my art, playing board games, cooking, writing, reading, and anything that helps me avoid housework. However, I do not like summer heat, large crowds, or spending much time watching television (unless it makes me laugh, such as Big Bang Theory and Impractical Jokers).

I love any and all postcards, especially HOMEMADE! My favorite artists are Georges Ratkoff, Alexey Dolotov, Ever and Ein, Anton Franciscus Pieck, Mila Marquis, Leonid Afremov, Silken Lefler, Ruth Morehead, Susan Wheeler, Jill Barklem, and many others. And I love frogs, fish, and other water animals. But most of all, I would enjoy getting to know YOU! I would love to hear about every-day life in your culture. Feel free to write as much as you can so I can understand more about you and your life. What may seem boring to you may be amazing to me! Please do NOT send anything scented, however, since I have many allergies!

Lastly, I am trying to collect tiny SNOWFLAKES in any form (fabric, plastic, beaded, paper, etc) from people all over the world to decorate my international Christmas tree. I am also trying to collect samples of FABRIC that represents each country and culture for an international quilt I dream of making someday. And any Stitch items from the LILO and STITCH movie would be amazing!
