About akatsuki-clouds...

Hello, I'm Rachel!

I love stationary, cute things, and mail, and that has resulted in a big love for Postcrossing as well! I live with my husband and our dog, Anubis (we call him Noob for short!) I've just started my first jobs after graduate school. I'm currently a history teacher at a community college and I work at a children's museum as well. They are both very fun jobs and keep things interesting.

Some of my other hobbies are baking, reading, fashion, casually playing video games, drawing, cross-stitch, and playing board games. I also have started making Youtube videos for Postcrossing and penpal packages! The link is in my profile if you'd like to check it out ^u^

Please tell me your favorite song or artist in your postcard! I love music and I have a playlist with everyone's favorite songs on it that I listen to. I'm also always open to book recommendations!

A general list of things I like, in no particular order:
Original postcards (something you wouldn't think of as a "typical" postcard)!
Shaped postcards (gotochi / ご当地)
Anything cute / kawaii / pink

Thank you for looking at my profile, I love surprises and am happy to receive any post card that you send!

** I lived in Japan for two years ( one year as a student in Nagoya and one year as an English teacher in Shizuoka Prefecture) and I speak Japanese, so if you can speak / write Japanese as well, please send me a postcard in Japanese. Thank you! **
