About Katarina...

Hello everyone!
I am a girl from Altai Republic, Russia

The most important fact about me is that i'm obsessed with T.L. Beddoes, the astonishing poet, prince of morticians as Ezra Pound called him. I translate his works, and love him with all of my heart !!
I'm interested in
- poetry and theater esp. revenge tragedies: Webster, Shakespeare, Michelle de Ghelderode, Shelley, all elisabethan and jacobean dramatists
- tradition of necrogamy (ghost or posthumous marriage) !!
- places of interests connected with Death - crypts, ossuaries, cemeteries, hauses with dark past.
- giallo and horror movies (for example, Ju-on, Argento, Bava) and mangas (Junji Ito)
- demon folklore of diffierent countries
- stories about mad love: (for example 'Whutering Heights', Jaime Lannister's line in 'Game of Thrones', 'Demons' by Dostoevsky, Dante Alighieri and so on)
- art (paintings that makes you shiver, for example William Blake The ghost of a flea, Dorothea Tanning Little night music, Wilhelm Kotarbiński, Ivica Stevanovic, J.A. Grimshaw or something that offers a secret to think of)
- anatomy - also i like Lovecraft a lot: "Re-animator" (link to Beddoes) is my fav movie, Call of Cthulhu: dark corners of the Earth - fav game.

Please, don't send me children or animals cards if they aren't creepy :)

I would really appreciate your choice. I think it is great to get something special for you from every corner of the earth.
I comment my fav postcards to underline why they are so dear to me :))
I love handmade (because of your creativity, a charge of energy and time you spend thinking of me), so you can paint something exсlusive, if you want:)
I would like, if you recommend me one of your favourite books, plays, operas ( or the most dreadful you know) or tell me urban legend from your childhood, town, etc.
So send me something strange ...or creepy ...or poetic, inspire me!:)

Happy postcrossing!
