Hello everyone!
I am Ravishta Beeharry and I live in Mauritius which is a beautiful island in the Indian Ocean. I am a postal officer. I never knew about postcrossing until I went to India to attend a training course related to my work together with people coming from different countries. There, the director of the postal academy Mr P. Bisoi introduced us to postcrossing and explained it to us how it works. I was really fascinated as I found it to be really interesting since I love interacting with people from other places and countries and learning about their cultures and lifestyle. I shall always be grateful to Mr P. Bisoi for encouraging us to become postcrossers! Moreover, I love reading and Agatha Christie and Marie Louise Fischer shall always be my favourite authors. Cooking is my passion and I love food! I love trying out international cuisine. I am also a nature lover and animal lover. I love travelling to places where i can admire the greeneries and beautiful landscape. I love my dog Prince a lot and i so want to have a cat as a pet too...i love dancing and listening to music especially hindi songs and the piano guys. Furthermore, I love those people who are kind because i truly believe that it costs nothing to be kind and kindness is indeed a language which the blind can see and the deaf can hear..no act of kindness ever goes in vain. I love smiling and being happy all the time no matter what the situation is. I also believe that peace of mind is our greatest treasure besides our health and we should never compromise with it. Also, i love writing my own quotes which hopefully i may share with you all..! Postcrossing for me is an opportunity to connect to different people around the world and to know more about the world as well. Its kind of fun! I welcome all kinds of postcards because each postcard for me is very special and i treasure it...for me its a great feeling choosing a particular postcard for someone and writing it and going to the post office to mail it..and whenever i receive one i always smile thinking of the person who just did the same for me😊😊
