Postcards, for me, are smiles in the mailbox! I enjoy sending cards to deliver a smile as much as I like receiving cards chosen for me!

My "best" postcard story is I became engaged via postcard! The card was hand-delivered on a boat during a scuba diving vacation. It was written in Czech, which I couldn't read, so I had to wait for a translation of the proposal. We had a beach wedding in 2011, and I'm still slowly trying to learn Czech! It's hard, but fun!

Every January we travel to attend a Postcard Show. It's my favorite event of the year! But, life isn't all about postcards. My avatar is an octopus exploring my hand while I was scuba diving--another passion. I'm a divemaster, but I dive for fun too. I love the beach, gardening, vegetarian cooking, reading, music, yoga, Pickleball, swimming, kayaking, SUP, playing games, museums, volunteering for Prison Book Project and Art festivals, and time with friends and pets (we have a chubby black cat who "helps" with Postcrossing, and a Rottweiler "foster failure"). I'm a lawyer by trade and I'm a certified death doula & hospice volunteer by avocation. No time for TV, so we don't have one!

I've visited 41 US states and these countries (is yours here?): AU, BE, BG, CA, CH, CR, CU, CZ, DE, EC, EG, ES, FR, GB, HN, HR, HU, ID, LU, IT, MX, NL, PA, PE, PH, PL, PW, RS, TR, VE, & 10+ Caribbean nations, (including 12 days sailing a 38 ft. "cat" as part of a 5 woman crew!)

The message can make a card special. It's OK if I already have the same card! YOUR message makes it unique. I love to re-read special postcards later--be creative!

I like pretty stamps; please NO envelope or folded cards.

If you can, please write in Spanish, French, German, Czech or Esperanto! I lived in Venezuela, spent a summer in Freiburg DE, and studied German & French long ago, so it's good practice.
