helloooooo! my name is Rachel. I love to sing, spending time with my pug, Nebula, and working on traveling more outside of just postcards this year. I’m excited to take a cruise for the first time in forever to Nassau for my 40th birthday, and possibly going to Greece or Mexico this year.

Some of my interests are:
- crafting (current loves are cross stitch and crochet), cooking (taught myself a few years ago!)
- musical theatre
- Harry Potter (I like to classify myself as a gryffinpuff - a hufflepuff with gryffindorian traits)
- Disney (I love the parks and have gone to every D23 expo held in California)
- The Muppets

I also love animals, especially dogs and pigs. and frogs. and hippos. and giraffes. and elephants. not spiders, though :X anyway!

My favorite color is purple (and glitter!), and in general I just love the concept of international communication. Physical mail is a dying art - I’m glad I can help keep it alive.

I used to do postcrossing a lot when I lived in my first apartment about ten years ago. I recently found my binder full of cards again and got inspired to pick it back up!

Post cards from other countries is so cool to me - especially the stamps! I love old fashioned or unique stamps - I remember Germany did scratch and sniff stamps for a while. I also like anything that acknowledges the actual country (as opposed to like.... some of our US stamps have flowers or animals, which doesn't tell me much). If your country has something fun - like, one of my friends got this gigantic tomato stamp before - just something cool, is cool to me :)

if you speak another language, or your language has characters in it - it would be cool if you could write "Hi Rachel" or "Hello Rachel" in your native language! :) or - if you're an artist, feel free to sketch something where you would normally write (or try to sketch my photo! that would be so cool!)
