I love hiking, reading, gardening, astronomy, video games (I'm a game developer), programming (<nerdspeak> I mostly use C++/CLI, D, C# and Lua if anyone happens to be interested </nerdspeak>). I love using my brain, so if I find something that's challenging it'll usually keep me occupied for a while.

I'm obsessed with books: I love the smell of them, the feel, the whole experience of reading a book. Reading is like a journey, when you read a good book you're not same person you were when you started; they change and stay with you in very subtle ways. I read mostly Charles Bukowski and programming books these days, though I'm also fond of H.P. Lovecraft, Nabokov, Kerouac and the other beat authors; John Clellon Holmes is grossly underrated in my opinion. I started doing a reading challenge where I had to read every book that's been awarded the Pulitzer prize, but I got distracted with programming stuff.. I did discover a new favourite though - The Keepers of the House by Ann Shirley Grau - so it was successful in my opinion. I'm also fond of reading about Jungian archetypes. I'll read anything that stimulates my brain.

Any and all postcards are welcome; I love the random variety that's slowly building in the tin I keep the cards in. I'd especially love a retro or book cover themed card if possible; art or risqué is also welcome.
