I am an omnivorous reader of both non-fiction and fiction, with mysteries being the equivalent of candy - tasty and momentarily satisfying.
I knit and crochet on occasion. My current project is the assembly of recipes, photos and anecdotes about cooking experiences from family and friends. It is a scrapbooking project which will be an Heritage Cookbook.
Tell me about your favourite author and what you are currently reading.
My other hobby is collecting dragons, something which my husband started. Now I have an assortment of dragons, varied shapes and sizes, some books featuring dragon poems and some artwork from friends who paint.
I would like to add postcards of independent bookstores around the world to my collection. I am not certain if these would be readily available but would appreciate receiving any that are. Having recently received postcards of famous libraries, e.g. New York Public and Trinity College, I am adding libraries to my wants.
Big or small, world-famous or local, all would be welcome.
An additional option would be postcards of varied roadside attractions. Some of the ones we have in Saskatchewan include a giant coffee cup, a giant oilcan, a giant fish, and a display of larger than life-size glass wheat sculptures. Of course, my list is merely suggestions as I am always pleased with the varied selections chosen and sent.
