About pyynikinrusakko...

Hello! I live in Western Finland. In my free time I like to watch movies and TV shows (scifi, indie/arthouse, comedy, documents) or read books (fiction, non-fiction, comics etc.) and interesting articles online. I also like to do arts&crafts, lately I've been knitting a lot of socks since my old ones were getting worn out. I'm also working at two quilts, one knitten and the other hand-sewn.

I've started using my local library again, been reading a lot of comics, both Finnish and English language. They also have a lot of movies and TV shows, which I always forget, I should have 'check the library!!' on a post-it note on my computer...

As for other hobbies, I like to do small-scale windowsill gardening. I have mangos, avocados and a plant with aromatic leaves... I wish I knew the name of this tree, the seeds are from some fruit I've eaten but stupidly, I didn't mark the seeds in any way (maybe it's cherimoya, the leaves look alike). I also have a few oak seedlings I managed to grow from acorns, but I need to find them new homes. The European horse-chestnut I grew from the conker now grows at my mom's place.

I like all kinds of postcards, it always brightens my day when I get home and there's a postcard waiting for me! If you'd like some ideas, my favourites are:

- village/town/city views, local sights and attractions, 'Greetings from...'
- science fiction, comics, movies etc.
- Hello Kitty
- arts&crafts, all kinds of illustrations
- architecture, design
- nature, animals, all kinds of maps
- space, planets, astronomy
- cars, airplanes, helicopters, trains, motorcycles, subways etc. I'd love to get subway maps from different places!
- vintage

If you like, maybe write something in your native language (+translation to English)? Maybe draw a cat or a crocodile?

Looking forward to your postcard :)
