About Lisa...
These are crazy times for EVERYONE in the world...so much heartbreak right now. One bright spot in my day is the reminder that a small piece of mail can often bring a glimmer of hope.
I live with my husband in the lovely western state of Colorado and enjoy the outdoor activities here as well as visiting my four grown children who live in Maine, Colorado, Montana & New York! I have a teaching and art background and love working with children of all ages. Life is never dull, and I'm grateful for the ordinary beauty around me...often captured in the simple act of sending and receiving postcards.
QUESTION FOR 2022: How did YOU first learn about Postcrossing?
I LOVE all cards but here are a few ideas:
**-a handmade card of ANY kind would be great, or even just small sketches and doodles from you.**
-Any kind of card about Covid-19, quarantine, masks, etc. (What a time in history!!)
-umbrellas
-ferris wheels
-windows or doorways
-black and white photos
-unusual or retro scenes with people
-children
-people wearing hats
-that random/artsy card that doesn't fit a category
-handmade cards
-a card made out of your favorite food box or interesting packaging that shows something unique from your country...ESPECIALLY with writing in your language
-interesting stamps
-when you write a few words or a phrase in YOUR LANGUAGE (with a translation if possible!)
ABOUT YOU:
THANKS for taking the time to do this, and for writing me a NOTE about yourself. I always look forward to your card, and hearing about what you enjoy doing or what is special about where YOU live. Tell me what LIFE IS LIKE FOR YOU TODAY!!
All the best,
Lisa
